Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...

On today and everyday I am so thankful for my Salvation in my Lord Jesus Christ.

EASTER ROOMS

This time of year we all blog about ideas on how to decorate our Easter tables. I always enjoy post about this subject. I thought I would take it a step further………

……..Since this is a design blog I thought it would be fun to show you rooms that I like to call, “Easter Rooms!”

Years ago a friend was visiting my home and she had her little daughter with her.

Upon leaving the little girl asked her Mom if they could go home and dye Easter eggs.

It was in the Fall so her Mommy told her it was not that time of year, and asked why she thought about dying Easter eggs.

The sweet little girl said because my house looked like an Easter house to her and it made her want to dye eggs.

Of course I took that as a compliment. Out of the mouths of babes, as the saying goes.

What make a house or a room look like an Easter Room?

What are the requirements of an Easter Room? For me, they must make me smile, and have colors that are reminders of SPRING and Easter!!!

I know this will vary among people we all have our memories of what Easter looks like to us.

Let me show you some rooms that have that Eastery Look (I know this is not a real word, but I will be using it throughout this post and I like it as a word, it should be used more often!)

EASTER ROOMS

Pink and yellow!! You can’t get more Eastery than this!

All of the above images make me smile!! How about YOU, did they make you think of Easter? Do you have any rooms in your home that are Eastery Rooms?

The Happiest Flower I Know!

I dare you to look at a daffodil and not smile! I know I can’t!

Daffodils have to be the happiest flower around. They not only have become one of the symbols that Spring has arrived, but they add a happy feeling to any space they reside.

Entertaining With BASKETS!!

Baskets are a wonderful way to add texture in your rooms. I love a beautiful basket not only for how pretty they can be, and for the texture they add, but I love to  actually use them on a daily basis.

When I have guest in my home I try to make up a snack tray that stays out on my countertop so they can grab a snack any time they want…..

Fresh Produce 017 (800x689)

This is a tray that I did when I had some overnight guest using fresh produce of the season and pecans and walnuts.

I use this basket tray all the time, but sometimes it is too large for everyday use so I was thrilled when my friend Barb’s shop, Farmhouse  Décor Shop” started carrying three different sizes…….

Set of 3 Round Willow Trays

$29.00
(10x3, 11.5x3.5, 15x4)

I keep the larger tray, which is not overly large at 15in. on my counter with healthy snacks for my family…….

Baskets 003 (800x600)
Nuts and cranberries always seem to hit the spot for a little snacking. I use the lemons, and limes in my water throughout the day.

By keeping it corralled in the tray it looks decorative and not cluttered. I love that!

I used the larger tray to hold a platter full of fresh berries as part of our morning breakfast………

Baskets 005 (800x600)

The smallest tray is the perfect size to hold dessert size plates in an attractive manner.

Baskets 008 (800x600)
I can not tell you how much I love these little baskets. They are so versatile and I use them all the time. When not in use they can be used decoratively as well.

Be sure and go to her shop and order some of these baskets, you can thank me later for telling you about them…….
